I’m putting some audio in my post for tomorrow but purposely didn’t choose an audio post as want to keep it separate to my podcast. Do audio posts always become podcasts?
audio embed is always a separate entity. Voiceover gives you an option to add to an RSS feed, as does an audio post (so my audio post I created for Substack Sound Circle remains a separate, podcast-free entity to my main podcast, Pivot!)! And hi Tommy so nice to see you here xx
Hi Laura, I was just about to record my contribution and noticed that you said it can't be a voiceover or audio embed. I don't seem to have the option of an audio post in my Substack - I can create a new podcast episode but I think that would then list my audio post in my podcast? Just wondering how you created an audio post as you have your podcast here too, thanks so much! x
What I did was when creating a new post, there was an arrow that said "audio post" and I chose that instead of clicking "create new post". If you click create a new post first, you will only see the embed or voice over option
Ooh missed this one, but will definitely join for the next. I love audio but as I’ve been editing my podcast for 5 years I find it hard to let go of that perfectionism - ‘could tidy up that audio’, ‘could edit out those ummmms’ 😅 Love the invitation to just keep it rough and ready 💛

It seems to work via my phone now, maybe my chrome book is playing up x
