I’m fascinated with Sarah’s approach to work and the identity she’s created because of her experiences. Loved getting to know her more through this post. ✨
I love that - at the junction of calm and pace. As an aspiring children’s book author, while working FT as a pharmacist with a longstanding side gig as a medical intuitive (for fun!) it’s become very obvious over my 2-year writing journey, that there will be no rushing any part of this. And that’s ok!! I cannot allow a project rooted in the loving memory of my son cause me stress - it’s gonna flow how it’s gonna flow. I truly feel I am adrift aboard this gorgeous little boat, allowing the waves of creativity and artistry to guide me on my path. I’m 100% here for the journey. ✍🏻📓📚 🌊 🛶 💨
I’m almost two years into writing a memoir and have found so much healing in the writing journey. As you say, it will take as long as it takes. Enjoy drifting on that gorgeous little boat. I love that ✨
Thank you for your kindness and encouragement. It’s a journey, for sure and I prefer to revel in the discovery and the wonderment of ALL of my travels, be they spiritual and/or corporeal. My memoir is another WIP - in bits and pieces - I’ve scribbled paragraphs and pages and thoughts for decades. One day I will assemble and reconfigure it, no doubt. It’s just these kidlit books dropped into my lap, seemingly from the heavens, and I’m committed to birthing them first. 📚📚📚📚📚📚Then my grief journal and THEN my memoir.
Gorgeous words Sarah ✨I’m a big believer in working with, not against, your energy, and you’ve shared such a beautiful example of what happens when we do, I such such a lovely sense of you in this 🤗
Yes, so true! I feel like December is THE month to take on work and play at our own pace. It’s the least scheduled I’ve ever been but I’m quite enjoying it!
This is so wonderful, thank you these calming words and for sharing your embodied wisdom Sarah. I have been thinking of you and your return to the office, hope it has been joy and ease-filled! xx
I just love that I’m seeing this narrative more and more; that we don’t need a festive period crammed full of social obligations and rushing around.
We get to choose our pace and when we’re strong and certain in that, others will have no choice but to honour it.
Thank you for this reminder Sarah x
You’re welcome, Kerry. Life (and the world) feels like a lot right now. So I’m looking forward to taking it as easy as possible this year 💫
I agree, Kerry. It's so reassuring and Sarah writes about it so beautifully!

That’s so kind. Thank you, Claire!
Loved this post and a great reminder to work with our own rhythms and energy ❤️
she writes so well doesn't she Jenna! Thanks so much for commenting xx
It’s as much a reminder for me as anyone else. So easy to lose sight of the need for rest in silly season 💛

Hooray for that! My schedule is simple too! Nothing joyful about crashing and burning into the holidays 🙃

Thanks, Lyndsay. It’s been a bit of a juggle but I’m happy to be back. We’ll find our new rhythm 💛
Love this, your words are always reassuring but also inspiring.
This comment lit me up! Thanks, Sarah. Can’t wait to reconnect next week 💫
