You're busy, right? Me too, but here are 8 things I don't want you to miss

Do you, like me, get a bit overwhelmed with ALL THE EMAILS?
Me too, so I thought it was time for a round-up. Here are 8 things to enjoy NOW or to save and come back to. Four from others and four from me: yippee!
This is one for anyone who has ever felt invisible - thank you
My music pal
is trying to get to gigs without flying, and with saving the planet.
- and I have a very exciting offer for you over on Company of Two: in 2024 we’d love to work with at least 3 mums who would like to curate posts, art and video here for others. Imagine a spacious “take over” where you post a body of work edited and curated by you for the audience here. It could be all your work or a blend of yours and others, a partnership or a space to test something new outside of the perimeters of your own Substack?
My husband and I hardly drink, but my Uncle was a massive weed smoker and drinker (who I ADORED) so I found this article so thought-provoking (and evidentally hundreds of other people did too - yay
)
MY FREE WORKSHOP IS ON THURSDAY AND IT’S SO GOOD AND I’M SO PROUD AND YOU SHOULD COME! (Have the capitals displayed enthusiasm or hysteria?! Either way, this workshop is excellent: quality, quantity and long-lasting, sustainable help). Take me to the workshop.
I’m running a Substack Sound Circle: a five minute audio challenge - the first prompt for creating audio is the word transitions, and I’ve included a link to a note (which links to the original post) so you can see who else is involved.
I made a really cool Instagram post using GIFS. Here are the GIFs… (I’ve put them in frames so you can see them clearly in email: as you can see I’m going through an American Office phase, and there’s a marketing theme…I love how Instagram makes me creative in a different way).
I posted this and it deserves some more love, as it’s really interesting.
Wow, that’s a lot isn’t it. And also, wow, I create a lot of different types of “content” - I love the creativity that online offers. I really should start asking people if they’d like to consider upgrading to paid to support it…
Let me know (when you get time) what you most enjoyed reading, and do get involved in the workshop or sound circle!

Hi there, welcome! New here? Welcome to Life Unlocked, I’m Laura.
I’m a multipassionate coach, mentor, podcaster, singer and teacher, and I’ve created this online home to help us both unlock, via three main tenets: creativity and creating (hopefully alongside you), listening and learning. I want to help you listen to yourself and what you want in your business or work, to help you realise how much your creations unlock so much for those around you, and to help you learn, whether that’s learning greater self-compassion and courage, or strategy and systems that work for you.
Sometimes my writing here is an honest dissection and reflection of my feelings about being a mum of 3. At other times it might be a piece on what it’s like to go and sing at Abbey Road one minute and host a coaching accountability circle the next.
Such a lovely wee round-up Laura, and thank you for including my piece on alcohol AND a reminder about the sound circle project which I am super-keen to take part in. I'm off for a read of your words on being a pro singer... A passion close to my own heart (though I'm definitely no pro!)
Brilliant round-up, thank you Laura! The post about not being sober with a sober partner was a brilliant read x
